First off, I’d like to say that he is a very good writer. I’m sure that some of the reasons I couldn’t put the book down was a different perspective on people like Mystery and David DeAngelo and R. Jeffries all gurus whose ideas I soaked up, but Neil’s his writing “style” has a lot to do with it as well. I’m listened to their thoughts and ideas and a lot of them made sense. This really does piggyback on my last post, but reading the book and cheering alongside Style as he transformed from an AFC to mPUA and then realizing some of powerful forces that can lead to a downward spiral in your life makes you think about finding that balance. I’m up at 1:45am staring at the screen with 5 hours left before my alarm sets off exactly because this elusive balance may not be something I can find. I mean, if you think about it, Style would have never met Lisa if it wasn’t for his devoted plunge into the PUA community. Some may argue that he met Lisa by chance since she like the real Neil and not Style. There is always something to be said about being in the right place in the right time and we will never know the framework that causes that to happen, unless you believe in fate and destiny, which I do not. Others may say that if Neil didn’t have elements of Style to start with, he would have never even talked to Lisa and I believe that to be true. But I think one common theme that is prevalent throughout the book is that despite being extremely intelligent and picking up the Game fast, Neil was just older and he was more experienced. He was more experienced and that helped every step of the way. Very rarely do I get attached to the characters in books, but I really felt a connection with Neil, maybe something he does in real life did transform in a similar manner on the pages of the book. If he is still is with Lisa, I’m truly happy for him and now it’s my turn to search for my Lisa.
